Courtney grew up in a suburb of Atlanta and attended Valdosta State University. There she graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Performance. She hurried back north and has been living and working in Atlanta ever since.

While the majority of her career has been in Atlanta, she has had the pleasure of working with esteemed theatre artists from all over the nation such as Tracey Letts, Amy Morton, Susan Booth, David Bell, Nancy Keystone, Jasmine Guy, Peggy Shannon and Kenny Leon.

In addition to her work on stage, Courtney performs in film and television as well as being a prolific audiobook narrator. She lives in Atlanta with her husband, Nicolas Quinones and their 2 crazy children.
